One type of graphite gasket is cut or stamped from pure graphite plate or metal (toothed plate, flat plate, mesh) reinforced graphite plate. The other type is metal graphite wound gasket, which is the gasket with the best resilience among semi-metallic sealing gaskets. It is made of V-shaped or W-shaped thin steel strips and various fillers (graphite, asbestos, PTFE) alternately wound. Its structural density can be made according to different locking force requirements, and the inner and outer steel rings are used to control its maximum compression. The surface accuracy of the flange sealing surface contacted by the gasket is not high. It is especially suitable for occasions with uneven load, easy relaxation of joint force, periodic changes in temperature and pressure, and impact or vibration.

Step 1: First, the steel plate is punched into the outer ring and inner ring blanks through the upper and lower dies of the punch press, and then the inner and outer circles of the outer ring and inner ring are fine-turned by machining.

Step 2: After the fine turning of the outer ring and inner ring, the sanding belts and water grinding of the two end surfaces of the outer ring and inner ring are completed;

Step 3: The graphite belt in the graphite belt disk and the metal steel belt in the steel belt disk are interlaced and wound together and finally fixed for use.

Step 4: The processed outer ring and inner ring are nested in the positioning chassis fastened by flange bolts on the hydraulic frame, and the winding elastic component is nested between the non-metallic filling ring and the outer ring.

The graphite composite gaskets with edge wrapping can maintain the excellent performance of the original gaskets, and are easy to install and disassemble, not easy to damage, and can also prevent the medium from eroding the gaskets, thereby improving the pressure resistance. Commonly used edge wrapping materials are 304 or 316 stainless steel, which can be selected by customers.
