1. Graphite material can be used as a refractory material: Graphite and its products are resistant to high temperatures and have excellent properties. In the metallurgical industry, they are mainly used to make graphite crucibles. In steelmaking, graphite is commonly used as a protective agent for steel ingots and as a lining for metallurgical furnaces.

2. Graphite materials can be used as conductive materials: in the electrical industry, they are used to make electrodes, brushes, carbon rods, carbon tubes, positive electrodes of mercury current collectors, graphite washers, telephone parts, coatings for TV picture tubes, etc.

3. Graphite material can be used as a wear-resistant lubricating material: Graphite is often used as a lubricant in the machinery industry. Lubricating oil often cannot be used under high-speed, high-temperature, and high-pressure conditions, but graphite wear-resistant materials can work at high sliding speeds at temperatures of 200 to 2000 ℃ without lubricating oil. Many equipment that transport corrosive media widely use graphite materials to make piston cups, sealing rings, and bearings. They do not need to add lubricating oil when running. Graphite emulsion is also a good lubricant for many metal processing operations (wire drawing, tube drawing).

4. Graphite material: Graphite has good chemical stability. Specially processed graphite has the characteristics of corrosion resistance, good thermal conductivity, and low permeability. It is widely used in the production of heat exchangers, reaction tanks, condensers, combustion towers, absorption towers, coolers, heaters, filters, and pump equipment. It is widely used in the petrochemical industry, hydrometallurgy, acid and alkali production, synthetic fiber, papermaking, and other industrial sectors, and can save a lot of metal materials.

Different types of impermeable graphite have different corrosion resistance due to the different resins they contain. For example, those impregnated with phenolic resin are acid-resistant but not alkali-resistant; those impregnated with furfuryl alcohol resin are both acid-resistant and alkali-resistant. There are also differences in the heat resistance of different varieties: carbon and graphite can withstand 2000~3000°C in a reducing atmosphere, and start to oxidize at 350°C and 400°C, respectively, in an oxidizing atmosphere; impermeable graphite varieties vary with the impregnating agent, and those impregnated with phenolic or furfuryl alcohol are generally heat resistant below 180°C.

5. Graphite material can be used for casting, sand foundry, stamping, and high-temperature metallurgical materials. Since graphite has a small thermal expansion coefficient and can withstand rapid cooling and heating changes, it can be used as a casting mold for glassware. After using graphite, black metal can be used to obtain castings with accurate dimensions and smooth surfaces. The yield is high and can be used without processing or with a little processing, thus saving a lot of metal. In powder metallurgy processes such as cemented carbide production, graphite materials are usually used to make stamping molds and porcelain boats for sintering. Single-crystal silicon crystal growth crucibles, regional refining vessels, bracket fixtures, induction heaters, etc., are all processed from high-purity graphite. In addition, graphite can also be used as graphite insulation boards and bases for vacuum smelting, high-temperature resistance furnace tubes, rods, plates, grids, and other components.

6. Graphite materials can be used in the atomic energy industry and the national defense industry: Graphite has a good neutron moderator and is used in atomic reactors. Uranium-graphite reactors are a type of atomic reactor that is widely used. As the deceleration material in the atomic energy reactor used for power, it should have a high melting point, stability, and corrosion resistance. Graphite can fully meet the above requirements. The purity of graphite used in atomic reactors is very high, and the impurity content should not exceed dozens of PPM. In particular, the boron content should be less than 0.5PPM. Graphite is also used in the defense industry to make nozzles for solid fuel rockets, parts for space navigation equipment, heat insulation materials, and radiation protection materials.

7. Graphite material can also prevent boiler scaling. Tests by relevant units have shown that adding a certain amount of graphite powder to water (approximately 4 to 5 grams per ton of water) can prevent boiler surface scaling. In addition, graphite coating on metal chimneys, roofs, bridges, and pipes can prevent corrosion and rust.

8. Graphite material can be used as pencil lead, pigment, and polishing agent. After special processing, graphite can be made into various special materials for use in relevant industrial sectors.

9. Graphite material can be used as an electrode, and graphite gradually replaces copper as the material for EDM electrodes.

10. Graphite looks very black, but it is the purest quality in the world. Graphite has excellent properties and plays a huge role in human balance. Graphite is also commonly known as "black gold." Graphite is used to replace metals in eating utensils, household items, graphite cookware, graphite tea sets, graphite mattresses, graphite crafts, etc.
