The metal graphite winding pad is a sealing pad with good elasticity among semi-metal fitting pads. It is made of a V-shaped or W-shaped thin steel strip and various filling masterbatches (graphite, asbestos, tetrafluoro). Its structural density can be adjusted according to different clamping force requirements, and internal and external steel rings are used to control its maximum clamping degree. There is no specified requirement for the surface precision of the flange cross-section that the sealing pad comes into contact with.
It is very suitable for places with uneven load, easy relaxation of joint force, regular temperature and working pressure, impact or vibration, as well as the packing sealing of flanges such as gate valves, pumps, heat exchangers, and towers. Graphite product suppliers recommend its wide application in petrochemicals, machinery and equipment, power engineering, metallurgical industry, shipbuilding, pharmaceuticals, atomic energy, and aerospace units.
Graphite gaskets are made by laser cutting or stamping pure graphite plates, or by using metal (toothed plates, tablets, mesh) to reinforce graphite plates. They have many extraordinary sealing characteristics, such as thermal stability, self-lubrication, corrosion resistance, and non-brittleness. They can be used under long-term and stable load conditions and rarely require maintenance. Different metal sheets can be selected as lining materials. The types can be chosen as uncovered edge strips, inner edge strips, outer edge strips, or inner and outer edge strips.
Graphite laser-cut gaskets are made by punching or laser cutting pure graphite plates. They have excellent corrosion resistance, high/ultra-low temperature resistance, excellent shrinkage rebound, and high toughness. Various round and complex geometric seal gaskets are commonly used in pipelines, gate valves, pumps, high-pressure containers, heat exchangers, coolers, generator sets, air compressors, steam exhaust pipes, refrigeration units, etc.
